The Royal College of Nurses supports the interests of nurses working in the UK, and Tim Bagg from the East Midlands office said:

“We’re pleased that local hospital trusts have started to improve their nursing workforce.”

However, despite the announcement, he also said that a long term plan is required so that the number of nurses continue to grow:

“In terms of the actual nurses providing care, there are fewer now than there were in 2010, who are dealing with many many more patients.”
