“This Girl Can” campaign inspires Nottinghamshire’s women to get involved in sport

this girl canSport Nottinghamshire is taking part in the “This Girl Can” campaign, which aims to encourage women of all shapes and sizes to take part in sport.

Sport England developed the “This Girl Can” campaign to give women the courage to take part in sport. The response to the campaign has seen thousands of women up and down the country shaking, wiggling and sweating their way in to sport, regardless of how they look when they do it.

Sport Nottinghamshire are campaigning for the cause through Facebook and Twitter, using #NottinghamGirlsCan.

Sarah Williams, the Club Development Officer for Sport Nottinghamshire, says why it is important for women to get involved in the campaign.

The campaign is promising for the future of women’s health, as Sport England will be campaigning on this project for at least 18 months.

So for those of you who don’t exercise as much as you’d like,  wiggle, jiggle and shake yourselves over to the Notts Girls Can website , and make your pledge using #ThisGirlCan.
