Women and men from all walks of life came together at the weekend to celebrate International Women’s day. Nottingham’s Central Library came to life holding a variety of workshops, live music, family fun and food from around the world along with lots more to do.
The Nottingham Women’s centre worker said ” It really highlights the work that is being done and provides a higher profile for what still needs to be changed and what still needs to be improved.”
International women’s day has been on going for years and is to make those aware of women rights to make sure we are treated fairly regardless of our sexual orientation. This day is to raise awareness of women’s economic, political, and social achievements.
