Great news for Nottingham residents – the city has been rated as one of the top urban places to live, in a list compiled by the Sunday Times.
Judges have put together a list of the top 50 places in the country. The list combines data including crime rates, house prices and school performance.
The cities were also rated on their retail facilities, with Nottingham being lauded for its independent stores.
Nottingham has been celebrated for its history, nightlife and good transport links, as well as its vibrant nightlife and music scene. The city has also been named one of the best five locations within the Midlands alongside Worcester and three areas in Birmingham.
An overall urban winner will be announced in the Sunday Times this weekend. The award for best urban places to live is the second in a four-part series in partnership with Zoopla.
