NTU Student charged with possession of imitation firearm

A student from Nottingham Trent University has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause harm.

Five armed police officers were called to the ground floor of NTU’s Boots Library at 12:45pm on Saturday 21st February.

They were answering reports that there was an argument between two people of which one produced an imitation firearm, now believed to have been a BB gun.

Mr Fizan Asif will appear at Nottingham crown court on Monday 23rd March.

The case continues.
