Nottingham Playhouse launches Pay What You Can scheme

For one danottingham-playhousey only, Nottingham’s Playhouse offers tickets as cheap as a penny to go and see the political comedy, ‘Posh’.

Nottingham Playhouse has teamed up with Nottingham Post to bring a one off production where theatre-goers are urged to Pay What You Can.

The production will be on Wednesday February 18 and will be available to people viewing the smash-hit political comedy Posh.

“1p, 50p, £1, £5… whatever you can afford to give us, that’s what the tickets cost for that performance.” – Giles Croft, Nottingham Playhouse artistic director.

The inspiration behind Posh comes from Oxford University’s elitist Bullingdon Club, whose former members include David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson.

Posh runs from Friday February 13 to Saturday February 28 with tickets normally costing between £10.50 to £28.50.  The exception being on Wednesday February 18, when the Pay What You Can tickets will be on sale from 10am and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
