Valentine’s Day in Nottingham

photoYou may love it or you may hate it, but either way Valentine’s Day is good news for businesses with Britons estimated to spend up to £1.9bn for the day.

Some restaurants, such as The World Service in Castle Gate, have been fully booked for the past month. With eateries across the county offering special deals there is a vast amount of options for Nottinghamshire couples to enjoy on this day.

The Pudding Pantry are celebrating their first ever Valentine’s Day with a romantic tea for two. The owner, Anthony Quinn, explains what they have planned.

As for what the £1.9bn on Valentine’s Day spend will go towards, £557m is estimated to be spent on dinner, £461m on gifts, £211m on flowers, £173m on drinks, £115m on chocolate and finally £57m on cards.
