Fire-damaged Nottingham takeaway gets makeover to avoid demolition

‘Posh Spice’ takeaway was damaged by fire around 5 years ago. The city council has threatened to demolish it as an eyesore.

Now, a graphics company has hung a temporary banner over the building to hide the damage. The council says if the crumbling building, opposite Trent University, is not made safe in the next three weeks, it will be demolished.

Residents and businesses near to the building have been campaigning for years to sort out the ruins and are delighted action is finally being taken.

A Nottingham graphics company has had enough of the unattractive building and has hung a banner of an upper class shop front over the burned ruins.
