BRITISH actor and star of HBO’s The Wire, Dominic West, has filmed a rap video with Nottingham teenagers to promote St. Ann’s.
West, best know for playing detective Jimmy McNulty in the American hit series, appears in the promotional video for the film Guillemot, which stars kids from the St Ann’s estate and is based upon their lives.
Fifteen youngsters from community group Full Effect, which is funded by Prince Harry’s Royal Foundation, started shooting the film in April last year.
Prince Harry will attend the premiere next Tuesday when he visits Nottingham.
The music video was posted on YouTube channel SBTV on Tuesday and currently has over 27,000 views and almost 300 ‘likes’.
The charity Full Effect aims to support children and young people from becoming involved in violence and crime through mentorship and training.
