Up to 500 people have gathered on a Nottingham street for the second time in six months to stop a cancer patient being evicted from his home.
Tom Crawford, of Fern Chase in Carlton, had strangers help defend his home from bailiffs. Many supporters had never even met Mr Crawford, but managed to travel from across the country to try to help him.
The 63-year old has lived in the house for 25 years, but former building society Bradford and Bingley has said he owes £43,000 in mortgage payments.
Mr Crawford, who has recently recovered from prostate cancer, believes he paid off the last part of his mortgage payments in 2013, and does not owe a single penny.
