Notingham’s Victoria Centre drives residents mad

Victoria CentreComplaints have turned to anguish as Nottingham City Centre residents have been driven to the edge by the building work at the city’s biggest shopping centre.

Since Intu, the owners of the shopping centre, started improvement works back in March, residents of flats nearby have considered moving out due to vibrations from work at unsocial hours. Residents have reported sleeplessness as tiles are removed to make way for new support columns as late as ten o clock at night, breaking the contractor’s noise curfew. A consultation with residents has been arranged at Intu’s exhibition space on the first floor of the Victoria Centre.
