The second ever Women in Business awards have been launched in Nottingham to shine a spotlight on some of the city’s most enterprising businesswomen.
Nottingham’s leading female entrepreneurs are competing for the top spot as Nottingham’s number one businesswoman.
Award categories include entrepreneur of the year, sole trader, community champion and small business of the year. There’s also an award for the best rising star, apprentice of the year, inspirational woman of the year and a lifetime achievement award.
Carly Jones, 21, is nominated for apprentice of the year, and is the youngest nominee in her category. She says she is delighted to be nominated, and that the award will help to set her apart when looking for the next step in her career.
The awards ceremony is due to be held at Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club, in Cotgrave on Wednesday, November 19, where this year’s businesswoman of the year will be named.
