Cake enthusiasts will have the opportunity to win a cookery lesson with Great British Bake Off contestant Jordan Cox in a Christmas raffle.
The prize is part of a festive fair on Saturday at Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre on the grounds of City Hospital.
Nottingham’s Jordan Cox was famed during his Bake Off tenure for his experimental bakes and strange fusion of flavours.
All raffle entries will be in aid of Maggie’s Centre, which provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer.
After living with advanced cancer for two years, Maggie Keswick Jencks decided to build a centre in Edinburgh in 1996.
There are now 17 centres in NHS hospitals across the UK which are built on Maggie’s belief that people should not “lose the joy of living in the fear of dying.”
The Christmas fair, which will also sell books, crafts and refreshments, runs from 11am to 3pm and admission is £1.
