Pedestrian seriously injured after collision with car in Nottingham city

notts policeA man has sustained serious injuries after a collision with a car on Mansfield Road on Thursday night.

The accident happened at approximately 7.40pm on the junction of Mansfield Road with Forest Road East.

The pedestrian, who is in his 30s, was immediately taken to Queens Medical Centre where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the Toyota Avensis involved in the collision was shocked, but is not injured.

Mapperley Road was closed for investigation and diversions were in place, but it has now reopened.

Nottinghamshire Police want anyone who witnessed the accident to call 101 quoting incident 805 of 30 October.
