Arthritis affects one in six people in Nottingham, but the suffering could be eased thanks to the efforts of those involved in National Arthritis Week.
As part of the event hundreds of organisations have come together to showcase a range of inventions which may alleviate the problems associated with the condition.
Hosted by medical company, MediCity, and Arthritis Research UK, a number of innovative products have been exhibited, including a range of ergonomic cutlery designed to be easier to grip.
Many of the inventions on show are still in the early stages of production, but as soon as they hit the shelves, it could improve the lives of millions of people who are blighted by arthritis.
