A man has been sentenced to over three years in prison after he got a friend to take photographs of him preparing drugs in his home to sell.
Twenty two year-old Peter Shaw, of Norwood Road, Radford, was jailed on Monday after pleading guilty of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Officers arrested Shaw after they discovered 33.4 grams of crack cocaine in a wheelie bin outside his house in July earlier this year.
Equipment used to prepare drugs, including scales, Rizla papers, rubber gloves and deal bags was also uncovered in a further search of the property.
Photographs of drugs, large quantities of cash and further images of Shaw preparing drugs were found on three mobile phones recovered from him.
DC Steve Fenyn, who carried out the investigation, said: “Drugs cause misery to communities, fuelling other crimes such as burglary and violence to feed a habit.
“We are pleased to see that this time Shaw’s selfish actions have caught up with him and landed him with a jail term.”
