Biggest cooking pot in Europe to arrive in Nottingham City Centre

Summery-Test--Picture.jpg-1The biggest cooking pot in Europe is to arrive in Nottingham tomorrow as part of a national event that will feed around 5000 people for free in the city.

Nottingham’s Market Square will play host to the ‘Feeding the 5000’ event between 12 noon and 5pm on Saturday (October, 4) which aims to raise awareness of food waste by cooking a meal using food that would otherwise have been wasted.

The day has been organised by a partnership of organisations and will see a chef cook up around 5000 vegan curries and serve them to shoppers.
Advice Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and Nottingham City Council are three of the organisations that have come together to make the event happen and students at Nottingham Trent have been busy today getting the curries ready to cook.
