Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes has recently become a registered charity group. The organization donates and delivers blood to the NHS hospitals in the region.

Providing an out-of-hours, emergency response service to the NHS.
Delivering blood and other urgent medical supplies such as platelets, plasma, samples and medical records between hospitals and blood transfusion banks.
Under the guidance of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes (NABB), the Nottinghamshire group currently has about 25 volunteers, but is looking for more people to help out including riders, controllers as well as general fund raisers.
There are only 10 registered blood bike organization in the UK so far.
