Nottinghamshire Police are warning residents to keep their doors and windows locked in a bid to crack down on bogus traders.
‘Not sure? Don’t open the door’ is the message being spread.
Let strangers in without checking their identity
Be pressured into buying items at the door
Do: Use spy holes and door chains
Detective Inspector Kev Broadhead said, “We are not just directing these messages to those who may be vulnerable…We are appealing to people to look out for their relatives and neighbours.”
