Plans have already been made for next year’s Sci-Fi and Fantasy Convention to be held at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham.
Organisers are having to refund around 250 tickets after some people were unable to get into the event, despite having booked tickets in advance.
Chief organisers have now announced that next year’s Convention will take place at the much larger Capital FM Arena to accommodate for the large numbers that turned up to the event last weekend.
Organiser Lee Wells said: “We literally had no idea that the event would be this popular.
“We are offering full refunds to those who were unable to get into the event as well as offering discounted tickets for next year’s Convention to those who were left feeling disappointed.”
The Convention attracted over 2000 avid Sci-Fi fans dressed as aliens and other fictional characters, with stars from Red Dwarf, Game of Thrones and Doctor Who all at the event as special guests.
Organisers apologised for the inconvenience caused but reassured let-down customers that things would run smoothly at next year’s Convention.
