Nottingham feminists in the spotlight

Hundreds of volunteers from Nottingham Women’s Centre have launched a new magazine documenting the testimonies of feminist activists since the 1960s.

The magazine will be a platform for women to talk freely about ideas and issues close to their hearts. The idea came from a conversation between volunteers about the content of mainstream women’s magazine. They came to the conclusion that the range of women’s voices currently available in the press doesn’t reflect enough of what women really think and want.

The magazine will be published monthly and will be made up of the stories from local women in the community.
