Hairdressing students set to sharpen skills at Lee Stafford Academy

LEE-STAFFORD-JPGCelebrity hair stylist Lee Stafford has opened a training academy in Nottingham where trainee hairdressers will work in a real life salon.

With state of the art facilities, the academy says its a cut above the rest.

The salon launched this month in partnership with Stephenson College Nottingham and will allow students to get hands on experience in a fast paced environment.

Lee Stafford, celebrity hair stylist from Essex, has won five awards for his hairdressing, including Most Influential Hairdresser of the Year in 2001 and Best British Hairdresser of 2004.

This is the second academy to be set up in Lee Stafford’s name, the first being in Chelmsford.

Eighteen further education students are doing full-time vocational courses at the salon, while eight apprenticeships attend once a week.
