Victims of crime in Nottinghamshire have access to a website where they can track progress of their cases. The website ‘Track My Crime’ launched this week.
The service, which went live on Wednesday, provides people 24 hours-a-day access to the progress the Nottinghamshire Police are making in solving their crimes.
The initiative is similar to the service provided by delivery firms where people track the progress of their parcels online.
Each victim receives a personal log in to the website. They can send messages to the officer dealing with the case, to see what police have done so far and check details of their case are correct.
Sergeant Paul Grant explains how this service will benefit the public.
